Sunset on the Plains

This panoramic painting is now complete and is listed on my Etsy website. It contains lots of color and contrast, and emphasizes the dominance of nature against the farm silhouette.

Work in Progress

I am working on a new nightscape. I have admired the work of George William Sotter, especially his night paintings, and have used this same theme occasionally. I used three coats of Cadmium Orange and Ultramarine Blue mixed for the background. The second photograph has some additional detail added. This painting will be listed on Etsy when finished.

Still Life With Red Flowers

This new original painting is a study of light through a window and the resulting design created upon the subject. The lines created by the shadow of the window panes is contrasted by the upward movement of the vase and red flowers. This painting is now listed on Etsy.

Beginning

Early stages of a new painting. Lights and dark areas are roughed in although I am undecided as to the floral arrangement for this painting. I like the diagonal design of the light shining through the window. I wanted a dark background for this one so as to emphasize the color in the flowers.
