work in progress

I am continuing to work on this painting. I have worked in a dark under-painting for the bottom third in the first example and applied the foreground over it in the second. I have a few things to work out yet, and should have it finished shortly.

Sky

Working on a new painting. I have roughed in the sky on this one and added some cloud cover and I will continue to work on that. I am undecided at this time on the lower part of this painting.

Sunset on the Plains

This panoramic painting is now complete and is listed on my Etsy website. It contains lots of color and contrast, and emphasizes the dominance of nature against the farm silhouette.

update

I'm working on a new painting with lots of sky and vivid color. Plan to have a red orange horizon with silhouettes in a scene at dusk.

Sunset Seascape

I have just finished a new panoramic painting and will be listing it on my Etsy site after Christmas. It is 18 X 30 on gallery wrapped canvas.

Red Desert

Welcome to my first day of posting on this blog.

Today I am posting one of my paintings from the desert southwest. I enjoy painting this area of the country and am amazed by the vast array of color found here. This original panoramic acrylic painting is 18 X 28 on gallery wrapped canvas. I extend my paintings to include all edges and this painting can be hung as is without frame if desired. To see this painting in my online gallery click on the Etsy link in the upper right area of this page.
