Winter Slope

This is a painting I have been working on. It combines two different paint applications. It is 11 X 14, has a palette knife under-painting and was over-painted with a fan brush on gallery wrapped canvas. It indicates a more loose, painterly approach with cool colors in the background and warmer in the foreground. It is almost finished and will be listed in my Etsy shop.

Purple Sage

This new painting is something a little different. I used a fan brush almost exclusively on this one. It gives this work a light, airy, impressionistic feel. It is 11 X 14 on Ampersand archival quality gesso board panel and is now listed in my Etsy shop.

Mountain Lake

This painting is now finished. It is a color study of this mountain area and how the different colors effect their surroundings. It is 16 X 20 on gallery wrapped canvas and is now available in my Etsy shop.

update

This is the final update on this painting. I have indicated the trees and worked on the lake. A little more detail and color work to do, especially on the trees and foreground. Trees in the background and foreground will be softened slightly and more color added to harmonize this area with the rest of the painting. This painting should be finished in a few days.

In this stage I have added some detail, introduced the general area of the lake, and added my dark value under-painting to the foreground.

This is a preview of a new landscape. I have more detail work to do and will include an area for a lake in the middle with a dark foreground. The size will be 16 X 20.
