Beginning

Early stages of a new painting. Lights and dark areas are roughed in although I am undecided as to the floral arrangement for this painting. I like the diagonal design of the light shining through the window. I wanted a dark background for this one so as to emphasize the color in the flowers.

Ocean Light at Sunset.

This new seascape is a reflection of the quality of light at sunset which casts an orange glow over the entire scene. It is now listed in my Etsy shop.

Seascape

I am working on a new seascape today. The painting has some work yet to be done and the bottom third is only roughed in at this time. This painting should be finished in a few days and will be available in my Etsy shop.

Southwestern Desert

This new original painting of the desert is inspired by a trip to the Arizona and Utah areas of the Southwest. Red and Blue dominate this painting and help to emphasize the hot color temperature in the foreground contrasted with the snow capped mountains in the distance.

MEDIA: Original acrylic painting on 1 1/4 gallery wrapped canvas with sides painted. May be hung with or without frame. Sealed with archival varnish.

Canyonland

This new original painting of the Grand Canyon is inspired by a trip to the Arizona and Utah areas of the Southwest. Cool purple, red, and blue in the background and warm yellow and green in the foreground help suggest the perspective of this vast area. This painting is available in my Etsy shop.
