I am working on a couple of paintings. In the lower painting I have added color in the boats and now will be adding more detail to the overall scene. In the landscape I have established light and dark areas and a color scheme. I want to avoid becoming too detailed in this painting and allow
for a more painterly approach.

I am working on a new nightscape. I have admired the work of George William Sotter, especially his night paintings, and have used this same theme occasionally. I used three coats of Cadmium Orange and Ultramarine Blue mixed for the background. The second photograph has some additional detail added. This painting will be listed on Etsy when finished.

This new original painting theme is from a mid-western series I have been working on emphasizing the Surreal aspects of nature and landscape. I am working to capture the quality of sunset and light at evening in the country. The size is 24 X 30 on canvas with the 1 1/4 sides painted ready to hang.
