Back after a short break. This landscape has the underpainting complete and I will begin detail work next.

New Landscape

This is a work in progress I posted a sketch of earlier. The above is a updated sketch and the beginning of the painting. I have worked on the background and the dark value in the center of this painting. The bottom third of this work is to consist of a rock slope with shadows and some green values for balance.

This is a quick sketch of a new painting I will be working on. It is an abandoned meat locker which contains some interesting angles and off center dimensions. I will be posting updates
on this work.

Pastoral Impression

This painting is finished and will be listed on Etsy. It is a loose, impressionistic study of a field of flowers with the contrasting dark values of the trees in the background. It is 11 X 14 with gallery wrapped canvas.

I am working on a couple of paintings. In the lower painting I have added color in the boats and now will be adding more detail to the overall scene. In the landscape I have established light and dark areas and a color scheme. I want to avoid becoming too detailed in this painting and allow
for a more painterly approach.
